[The screen shows a big closeup of one of Labrador's violet eyes before he moves back a bit, still studying this strange device he's holding, not quite sure what to do with it.]

Are you sure this is how I make a post, flowers?

I've seen a man fitting your description, but...it appears you've found the answers you needed. [And what a peculiar way to get them.]

...
...
...How are you able to communicate with the plants? What kind of Nen is that?

((And kind of assuming this is voice?))

... [looks around himself but doesn't see anyone] ... hello? Who said that? Is anyone here? [there's a short pause as the flowers tell him what's happening] This thing? [he holds up his PCA] Hello?

[ooc: voice works for me!]

Ah. [So there were people here who didn't know how these devices functioned. Kurapika wondered if such cases existed, and how people dealt with them.] Yes, I'm communicating my voice to you through your phone.

Oh... [Comes from a medieval-ish world...] This is called a 'phone'?

Hello, it's nice to meet you!

Yes. It's a device that communicates messages over a long distance. It appears that this device's version also transmits video and text messages.

Ah... [He resists the urge to sigh. It's not quite "nice to meet you" in this situation, when Kurapika isn't exactly happy to be stuck here.] I'm Kurapica. You are?

I see! That explains a lot then!

I'm Labrador. Are you from around here, Kurapica?

Not originally, no It appears that everyone in Adstringendum arrives from their own world elsewhere.

... from their own worlds? Just what is this place?

From what I can gather, it's a dimension created by a group of scientists when they caused a rift in space-time. Supposedly they created spirits called Animus as well, which transport individuals from other worlds through this rift.

... [that is quite a lot to digest] Can these Animus take us back?

[Kurapica knows how you feel.]

...I believe so. At least, it makes sense to me that they're the powers responsible for causing certain people to disappear and reappear at a certain times.

Disappear and reappear?

[He nods.] I'm told that it's possible for people to leave Adstringendum but only through random circumstance. Apparently the Animus are suspected in doing this.

I see... How does one find these Animus?

To be honest, I'm not sure. I've only recently arrived here, as well, so you may be able to get more information out of someone else.

I see. Well, perhaps I'll ask Frau when I see him then.
