Only five more days to go until I'm back at school! This is a bittersweet thing, because although I will have my internet back, I also have 9 hours of labs per week to look forward to bawwwww but it also sucks not having any internet. I mean, I have been stealing my neighbor's wifi for the past couple of days month , but I'm sort of worried about it. I have on Windows firewall and I don't really type in my password or anything in the search bar. I'm not sure if that makes a difference, however.
In any case, I started playing computer chess over break. I have finally beaten level one and I managed to make a checkmate on level 2!
I have started on a consumerist and sewing rampage. I'm a bit burnt out on sewing right now. I made two new teddy bears in hopes of recreating the Teddy Patissiere print in real life, but none of them turned out so perfect as the Otto von Bismarck bear. I wonder what I was doing differently? Sewing them by machine should have made them more uniform, and it didn't. Making them with felt should have made the texture better, but I wonder if that's what messed all of it up. There was just something special about the Bismarck bear, but I don't know what.
Sewing is so unrewarding to me whenever I make clothes. My sewing skills and materials can never compare to brand. I want to make more historically inspired things, but I mostly fall in love with lace monsters and things with lots of ruffles, which I am impatient to do.
It makes me just want to buy brand, but then I am reminded of people who got so far by saving and working damn hard and it makes me want to scrimp and save and donate to animal shelters instead of buying crap that I hardly wear.
Also, does anyone know what Fei did with those pictures from when we met up in St. Charles?
