[ It's a violent, violent, disgusting bout of weather out there. Raining figurative cats and dogs and the like. You'd have to be crazy to be out in this weather

[What the hell, Polka, indeed. Not that Gakupo can say much, because he's out to fetch eggplants, of all things shh they're vital, but he lifts his umbrella as soon as he spies her. He quickens his pace, calling out.]
[Gakupo's slowing to a stop by her, shifting in front to act as a windbreak. He adjusts his umbrella to provide better shelter from the rain for them both.]
[ Oo that helps! Now she doesn't feel like she's going to blow away. ]
What sort of things? [ Ah, at the question, she hees. ] I'm worried about the garden Hugo and I planted. It's still young so I don't want it to get damaged.
They didn't have it at the store? [ Tilting her head curiously, and she nods at the offer. ] Of course! It's right this way. [ She hopes. It could have blown away by now! ]
[ Gakupo's umbrella certainly does a better job at keeping the rain off than her parasol! ... which is well enough considering her parasol isn't meant to keep rain off really. It certainly wasn't rain-resistant. ]
Over there! [ Point! There is a small clearing where some small flowers have just been planted. Poor little things are all but bent over in the weather - Polka takes a few minutes to trot over towards them, worried. ]
Can you help me put the tarp over them? If we weigh the corners down with some heavy rocks, maybe it'll help keep the wind off of them. Once the sun comes out again I'll take the tarp off - I can brace the worst with some sticks and rope until they're strong enough.
[ With the wind working against them it'll probably take a few tries, but eventually! Eventually rocks are placed and the tarp... looks like it's not going to blow away. Unless the rocks shift. ]
You're right! You wouldn't want to get sick and miss out on the flowers when they bloom. [ And another nod afterward, she turns with only a brief backwards glance to the tarp, to head back home. ] Thanks again Gakupo, for your help.
[Gakupo smiles and follows her, falling into step alongside her. He holds the umbrella so that it covers them both (perhaps Polka moreso than him) properly as they continue along.]
Miss Polka?

Do you think it'll stay?

It should hold until the storm blows over. Now, we should get out of this ourselves. Will you let me walk you home, Miss Polka?
