FINE. How do we move without losing our community?

So, strikethroughs again.

Assuming the link I was given to Pond's art is accurate (the piece with the holding hands underneath? Is that right?), that there is only underage smut if you assume (DH spoiler ahoy) *that because Snape dies before Harry turns 18 and obviously there is no such thing as AU, he's definitely underage.* I would have ( Read more... )

I'd say that those who do post underage pornographic material need to show a little more common sense - hide interests, lock the art, etc, or put it on websites that don't chase down those who break the law and put less traceable links up, (hxxp links or anonamizers), but I'm very concerned that apparently at least one of these journals had locked the post already. This makes it appear that someone on their own friends list turned them in for illegal behaviour, so that is going to make things a lot more difficult. That's just supposition on my part, though.

All underage material is illegal in my country, and just by viewing it I can get arrested, so I've had to unsubscribe from all Harry Potter communities that occasionally post under age material anyway.
I wouldn't go to any service that allows underage porn, as that's going to get me into a whole lot of trouble.

Plus, like you, I have way too much invested in live journal. I don't support them in their actions, but I don't condem them, either. Those that post underage material have certainly had plenty of warning, so we all know it's comming.

Just so you guys know, the journals that were recently deleted weren't even underage stuff. It was just plain porn. Art, and you COULD argue Harry MIGHT look a bit underage in one of them, if I understand, but...no, they seem to be going after pornographic stuff in general. At least as far as I can tell.
