wow, it's been a while - I went MIA as the MCAT studying got intense, and then I spent the next weeks trying to catch up at work and at play. Here I am a month later, finishing up my first weekend at home in my apartment, by myself! And wouldn't you guess, I'm sick, bleh. Oh well...at least I got to spend the weekend sleeping and eating to make myself feel better.
I find out my MCAT scores next week...definitely starting to get nervous! I dreamt I got an 11...which, if you know the MCAT is out of 45, is NOT good at all. I know it's nowhere near that bad, but it's clear that my stress is starting to seep into my dreams--and I shouldn't let it. Not like I can do anything about my score now!
Despite feeling majorly under the weather, I did get out of the house today. Went to church - I found this really nice church relatively close to my apartment a few weeks ago when Russ and I were wandering around...we attended that weekend, and I was pretty much sold! I tried going to the methodist church last year which is very near my apartment , but it was seriously empty, maybe 30-40 people. As much as I'd like to be a trailblazer, I wasn't so into attending a church where the median age was at least 50-something! The church I'm going to try to go to now is packed! It's also really diverse, both age-wise and race-wise so that rocks. And there's this college/young professional luncheon every week after church...woo free lunch! :) I'm kind of excited to meet more people outside of work...and hopefully get a yummy meal?
I also went to Anthropologie on my way home from church...and got seduced by some really cute shoes...but they were only $30, and originally $120, so yay for that! :)
In other news, Russ up and moved away...sigh. I'm going to visit him in Chicago in three weeks, and I can't wait! At least I've spent the last 3 of 4 weekends hanging out with him, so it hasn't been too rough yet. Oh how I miss him!
oh and one last bit - I'm really into ramen these days! I only use a dash of the packaged powder, and add to it vegetables, soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper and cayenne pepper! Very tasty!l
