Posting is Procrastinating
I had such a wonderful time with my roommates in Chicago/Notre Dame this weekend! I wore my brand new shirt from the Notre Dame bookstore today--it's really cute, and I secretly wish I was a Notre Dame student, if only for the crazy sports fanaticism and the awesome apparel :) Chicago was also quite nice; although I've been there quite a few times before, it was really great to be there with peers instead of my parents...and do a little grown-up socialization mixed in with tourism. My roommates and I met Sherene's boyfriend, Jared, who is really sweet! They are so cute together and I'm really glad that we got the opportunity to spend a few hours getting to know him. We also tried to go to the Signature Room & Bar on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building, but the weather was unfortunately not in our favor for that. Maybe another time...I really hope I get to do Chicago with friends again!
I'm back to school today, and I have a paper to write due tomorrow...one of those darn medical ethics 2 pagers--I really just don't want to do it. But I suppose I should...it's only two pages! Why can't I make myself churn out this stupid thing! As for good news, I have a new group and TA this semester--so maybe after this week I'll be a little more excited about the course as a whole.
Oh and completely unrelated...I made chili for supper tonight! It was one of my study buddy's recipes, and it included beer! The good ol' Wisconsin girl in me couldn't pass up the opportunity to cook with beer...so I got all the ingredients and made it tonight. It's really spicy and tasty! Plus I have at least a week of leftovers, and it's going to get cold outside again--hopefully it turns into a real winter just in time for me to eat some chili. Hooray!
