Cowboys romance...and X-men.

I've recently read Annie Proulx's brokeback mountain, and it definitely and utterly blew me away...
It's a wonderful, tragic and beautifully written story about the price of love and the things worth living (and dying) for.
One of the best reading I've had in ages. The relationship between Ennis and Jack is so layered, complex, but it's also so ( Read more... )

Actually, I thought it was quite adorable.. but how the hell is she ever going to have a relationship with anyone, for that matter?! *gets curious and wanders off to the website*

I love straight couples, too.. I just can't bear to break them up when they're officially together, like, say.. Mamoru and Usagi, for example.. it makes me sad. (Like a guy would actually ever dump me for another guy..)

I absolutely agree about straight pairings; I don't like to see them broken up, when they are clearly meant to be together...^_^
And Mamoru and Usagi, well, who would deny they are meant to be a couple? The ultimate straight couple of the century...^_^

No kidding. ^__^ Unless it's someone like Relena and Heero.. the director himself said that their relationship was supposed to be more of a platonic thing; that she was supposed to represent the earth in it's innocence. Or something. I suppose it's left up to interpretation.

*sigh* I know pretty much nothing about Gundam wing, and this is a pity; I've come across some GW fanfiction, and they usually deal with the slash (mainly Heero/Duo); But if Relena is supposed to keep her innocence, I find it somehow understandable if Heero is gonna seek some physical comfort from someone else...^_^

Especially if he's so damn cute.. hm. I never really thought the design of any of the characters in gundam wing were *that* cute, except for maybe Quatre or Wufei.. but that's because I know people who look like them. O_o

I simply like it because they'res so much really bloody good stuff out there featuring Heero an Duo.. usually if I'm really bored/sad and hard up for fanfiction I go straight to that because I know I'll find something good. I guess it's just because they'res just so much of it out there. *_*

yes, the GW fandom is one of the most spread I've ever come in touch. And there are definitely good stories to be found in there. I also found some stunning doujinshii about Heero and Duo; they totally blew me away.^_-

^__^ I think the second biggest fandom is probably Harry Potter.. O_o I don't think JK Rowling intended Harry to be gay, though he does strike me as a little gagfi-- who knows! ^_^;;
