Oh, my mother is not British by far. She just sides with our ~*mortal enemies*~ because she's like that. My father might have Italian relatives, though. XD

I ship them either way, family or romantic. I just like their interaction. Though for some reason (well, a fic that took the daddy kink to new levels) France/Canada does hit my parent/child squick sometimes. Maybe cuz we see America pick England as his "brother", UKUS doesn't. :X
