On the internet, no one in Korea can hear you scream.
I have a fairly high level character with lots of goodies on Maple Story. I had to take a break from the game in between hard drive replacement, buying a house, moving, etc. Now that I want to play again, I can't because my account has been deactivated. They tell you to click whatever to send a re-activation link to your email, however they only have my old defunct email address. So I filled out the little support form for just that issue. They say it takes 7-14 days to process your request. That was 3 requests ago. Apparently 7-14 days in Korean means "never". I can't even use my current email or user name to create a new account, so I had to set up a whole new email address just to play the damn (superfun) game. So now I am a noobie chara and have to start all over again. I am pretty pissed. But am still playing the game.
In less ranty news, I guess being awesome gets you free stuff. I got a special award for being awesome sauce at work. I got a basket full of candy and goodies to share with my team and a gift certificate of my choice. AMC movie theaters yay! Maybe I will go see the Last Airbender again. Also got a $25 gift card for Barnes & Noble for not missing any work this quarter. Maybe I should have bought a lotto ticket today...
