Not dead!
It's been awhile since I posted here....have been debating deleting this journal all together, actually. We'll see. I have undertaken the monumental task of cleaning off the desk of doom. The shelves are all cleaned off and dusted and straightened and look quite nice. The desk top....Is looking better and no longer threatening to bury me under an avalanche of books, papers, and assorted stuff. This is good. It's still pretty overwhelming, but not as much as it was. So far I"ve found $50 in cash in cards for Kallisti and 3 tape measures and about 5 pair of nail clippers.
Had some weather yesterday. On the way home from the in-laws we saw a tree take down a power line. All sorts of bright green sparks and flashing light. Eep! The lightening was really something. The sky kept lighting up in greens and reds and blues with the occasional big old zig zag of lightening. There were also torrential downpours, hail, and wind. Not fun driving weather.
And now I'll get back to cleaning off the desk of doom. Joy.
