Ding, ding, ding.
Monday, Monday. Fuck a bunch of Monday. Worst day ever. Actually wudn't to bad today, but it's still fucking Monday.
Weekend summary:
Friday: Got paid (\;;/). Shat with Poop for a minute, met Jeff n' Linday at TGIF's for Jeff's official B-day. I got him a pack of Reds and some Lotto tickets, which he won $2 and 2 free tickets, one worth $5. Came back and chilled, did the entry about the end of life as we know it, and the beginning of drums reigning supreme (\;;/).
Saturday: Cleaned the house. The entire fucking house. It wasn't too bad, and it looks good. It also feels good to wake up to a nice organized niceness. Eric came by, and we went to Jeff's for his 2nd birthday party, the first being a surprise party last Saturday. I woke up in the middle of the night after that one (or maybe 2 or 3 in the a.m.) and tried to piss on the nightstand. Luckily I have an alert girl to take care of me. Anyways, the 2nd party was cool. Jeff was walking around carrying his bottle of B-day Jack like a baby and doing shots all night. Well, not really all night, he crashed around 11:30, while most people were still there. Good times, as someone I know might say.
Sunday: Slept way late, partially on the couch, the rest of the time in bed, when I made the transition, I don't recall whatsoever. Woke up, Miss Action got back from church, and we mowed the lawn and cleared a bunch of shit out of the yard (branches, etc.) We then proceeded to Guitar Center (definitely on of the coolest places in the known universe) where I picked up 4 pairs of Vater 5A sticks, (buy 3 get 1 free, not bad) and a cowbell. Cowbells are coo. Quick fiddy bucks, but worth it. I also got 2 names from the guy in the drum room to check about lessons. One guy he said I should definitely try to get on with is a "bad man." I took that as a good sign. We then went to Books-A-Million, pre-ordered the new Harry Potter book, (I can't wait, hey, we all have our vices) and I picked up Modern Drummer and DRUM! magazines. Pretty good shit in both of those. I'll probably subscribe here shortly. Went to Chili's from there and had some drinks and apps. Good stuff. Went to Wal-Fuck for groceries, (fucking hate, HATE that fucking place. Worst place ever) came home, mounted the cowbell, played a bit of drums, then a bit of Boggle, which we also got at the bookstore.
Monday: Woke up, dad was running a little late, so I played a bit of drums, then ate some cereal while I read in the drum mags. Crunchberries are the best, though I've said that before. Worked for a while, came home, played the drums for a while, helped prepare and then ate supper, then played the drums for a couple more hours. Drums are awesome. It takes up alot of my time and thoughts now. I can't help it, and hopefully that won't wear off any time soon. I am now going to check out the rest of the posts, then surf for drum related material. I'm going to try to find a picture of this guy named Terry Bozio's kit and try to link it on here, if I can figure out how. It is fucking INSANE!! It has to be at least a 30 or 40 piece kit, not counting cymbals. He has 8 fucking bass drums. It's nuts. I don't even know who he plays with. I recommend checking it out, seeing how I may not be able to link it, though I'm sure it's not hard.
Well another long entry by your neighborhood Floppy. Sorry guys, but if you made it this far, then long live \;;/ !!!! Oh, and hopefully the FAOS sessions are coming along well. Looking forward to the results, as I'm sure you all are.
