i am a loner!!!!!!!!!!!
Lauren and I went to the Crown last night for a quiet drink. That was after our TV marathon of neighbours, simpsons, hollyoaks, eastenders and property ladder!! It was Amy's first night working there! We were debating if the Crown is actually nearer to get to than the distance it was from our bedrooms to the lounge in our old house! (there were loads of crazy long corridors!) I think it actually is! We got disturbed by this old-ish man talking to us asking us why we didn't get jobs and what we were doing at uni and stuff. That was pretty annoying. But he didn't stay all that long.
Oh and we also went to the modern languages office thing yesterday to sort out our timetable issues. The lady there was really moody and horrible. We wished we had the nerve to say "we'll come back when you're in a better mood!" or "are you having a bad day??" but we didn't. I don't know what her problem was!! Lauren described her as the bitch from hell! And seeing as she calls Deb "the evil one", I laughed at her mean choices of nicknames for people!!
We did our shopping in Asda yesterday afternoon - got so much food! At every section me and Lauren were like "oooh shall we make mexican food" "oooh shall we make indian" "oooooh shall we cook something chinese" etc!! And there were loads and deals. And we also got a chicken to make a roast dinner, so that will be fun! Last night I cooked a risotto mmmmmmm it was yummy and I am already looking forward to eating he leftovers for lunch today!!! The Lauren and Claire healthy eating plan was fine again yesterday, until we ate peanuts in the pub! Oh well. We were decided which fitness classes to go to. We are joining the sports centre on Sunday. Then we will get fit fit fit with all the swimming, working out in the gym, and fitness classes!!!
So this morning I went to Slemp. There were loads of people. But I knew practically no-one. Still, it was good to do the worship and praying. And there were a few fourth years, like Sam, Phil, James, Dan and Si. So I talked to them afterwards (I quite like James....hmmmm). And I knew a couple of 3rd year girls, Lisa, who is vice president, and another girl Rachel, who I knew from Jazzmanix. But mainly I was pretty sad that I didn't really know people and seeing all those 2nd year girls....I used to be one of them and we would always go for breakfast after slemp, and hang out loads and stuff.
But now I am in the fourth year and there were none of my girlie CU friends to go out for coffee with and have good long chats and talks about everything :-( And Lauren is busy all day with the spansoc table at the bunfight, and Amy and Caz have lectures all day. I am even more of a loner than I thought!!!! It is very weird!!!
But I have just text Lucy and we're meeting up later on today for dinner, so that will be nice. She took over leading hall group from me and now she is on exec, being hall group co-odinator. So I am proud of her!! And when I go to CU on friday, hopefully I will be able to make some arrangements for the wkd. Lauren and Caz are both going away, and Amy is working on Saturday evening. And I think she needs to do some studying in the day time.
I am going to go to the bunfight now. I thought I might go with someone who I bumped into at slemp. But seeing as I bumped into NO-ONE, I guess I will go by myself!!! But maybe I will bump into people AT the bunfight. probably not. All my friends have graduated. What would they be doing at the bunfight??
I am trying to decide if I will join any clubs this year! I guess I'll have a look around and see. Well obviously I will join spansoc. And Gersoc if it exists at the moment. Jazzmanix went on tour to Barcelona this summer!!!! But I don't think I'm gonna go to that. But I might go to the performing arts tent and see if I wanna join any other choirs!
Gosh well I better prepare to get squashed in the bunfight madness!!!!!!
