Tea Time Already?
Pretty little teeth
Cusping round in petals
porcelin flower tea cups
that sometimes we clink -
then smile and apologize,
hold our lips in cupped hands
To keep from shattering.
And even if they chip or spill the drink
Our smiles do not cool from the steam,
But only transfer little sips
Of liquid heat into our lips.
