The last assignment is due on Wednesday. It has come to my notice that Monday is some kind of holiday and won't have post. Therefore I'd probably need to post it Saturday morning.
So, should I write the thing or skip it? Average on the others is 72. They substitute your worst one with the average of the rest+exam, except that the early ones (where I did worse) aren't allowed to be substituted. So if I don't send this in, they'll substitute it; I'd have to do quite well on this assignment and exam for it to end up that they substitute my next-worst at 68; then again, sending this in will make the number they use for the substitution that little bit higher.
Confused? Well they even have an "Assessment Calculator" on the website. Which requires telepathically guessing what I might get on the exam. If I got 100 for this assignment (impossible) I'd get 77 for coursework regardless of exam. If I don't hand in this assignment, I'd get between 69 and 74 for coursework (that's assuming exam between 40=bare pass and 100).
Basically, is it worth my spending time and energy to up my coursework score by a very small number of points? The thing overall gets graded just as fail/pass/distinction and my coursework isn't high enough to get a distinction no matter what I do.
I remember when I used to be a diligent student who didn't make tactical choices. But I just wish this whole thing was over.
