paper roses and meme's and love

Mar 16, 2007 10:47

i know i havent really been posting much lately, things have been... difficult to put it lightly... hehehe! ive been wanting to post my models again but never found the time nor the drive to. especially since i havent been able to find my foil paper yet (something like the paper you find in the cigarette boxes) and my paper now is hard to cut. i cant seem to make a freaking square. its REALLY VERY frustrating. sigh. at least thats the least of my worries right now....

here's a rose that i've done. one of my first tries ever. hehehe! its not as great or as nice as i want it to be though, so im planning to fold another one with more tweaks and softer folds. ill see if i'll still post that one, maybe i will if the difference can be really seen. hehehe!

anyways, here's the paper rose done from one uncut square piece of paper, no glue.

not as nice as i'd like it. but not too bad for something made by a small square. hehehehe! and dry folded too. ill try with a bigger stiffer piece of paper using wet folding. i bet i could get good petal curl with that. hehehehe!

i stole er... 'borrowed' these lines from
tjbvelasco's lj entry.. im posting the ones that i find particularly touching/amazing. hehehe! these were taken from kids ages 8 and below, when asked the question

'what is love?'

their answers are amazing!

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."

Chrissy - age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."

Terri - age 4

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."

Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate."

Nikka - age 6

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day."

Mary Ann - age 4 (i really miss this... hehehe!)

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."

Rebecca - age 8

yun lang. hehehe!

and here's the mood meme... hehehehe! pretty apt actually...

floopate is blah. I've met prosthetic legs with more get-up-and-go than you. Could you be less melancholy and go out and do something? wanna know your lj's moodring color? enter your user name and hit the button. ( discussion thread)

as it tries to comprehend
and accept
