THIS BLOG IS NOW ABOUT CHANGELING: THE LOST

not really, but eee love this game :3

I've spent all morning flipping through the book, now I definitely have a character in mind. yaaaay.

I was sorely tempted to make a fireheart, because damnit elementals are fun to play, but I'm already playing a woodblood so I thought I should try something different. second choice? beast of course! :3 everybody loves a furry, after all* :p

I have no idea where the idea came from, but I figured a good role for a beast in faerie would be a hunting dog in the wild hunt. I looked up some mytholological beasties in wikipedia, but the archetypal faerie hunting dog(it's even on the second-last page illo of the sourcebook) is a hellhound. hellhound it is! glowy eyes and shit; this should be fun.

soo, she was originally aisling o'connor, still in school(around eighteen years old, so almost finished), liked sports and cross-country running and all that lark. coming home from school one day, she met a man! and while every irish schoolgirl has it drilled into her head that strangers want to kidnap and/or rape you, aisling was so overcome by his otherwordly allure(read: fae magics) that she actually followed him into the copse nearby... all 'come away o human child' and the like.

basically the fae that took her turned her into a hellhound to run with him in the hunt. she doesn't remember much of arcadia, since dogs don't have great long-term memories. her memories mostly consist of running after things, tracking things, and tearing screaming changelings into little bits. yay! that was what led to her escape in the end; the changeling they were hunting that day(a unicorn-like lad, I imagine) inspired a moment of clarity in the hound-mind, and aisling realised what was going on. oh god, the murdering et cetera. so she ran and ran and ran away, and eventually found herself on the other side of the hedge in england of all places. where she is now, all lost and confused-like. she is missing, presumed long dead back in ireland, because it's been around ten years since she was taken and she bears little resemblance to her old self now.

the question now is what court she's in; as always you can go with just about any of them. she's not much of a springtime girl, and autumn's focus on wyrd and tricksy doesn't quite fit, so the question is has she kept her fighting spirit, making her a summer courtier, or is she a sad and lonely packless puppy; a member of the winter court? hmm.

(* not a furry)

la la lala, now I get to draw her :3 as for costuming, I think a spiked collar is in order at the very least.
