I love mole's low-magic D&D campaign :3
I also love playing hazel and wuff! - I need to draw them again too.

the summer campaign is a prelude to the game we'll be playing once uni starts again and we pick up some more players, but currently our party consists of five:

me, playing hazel the human druid with her dire wolf animal companion, wuff.
bob, playing his crazy khadoran gunman, bolver.
jezz, playing an orcish ranger/bloodhound whose name I forget.
scott, playing victor the assassin.
and matty, who has never played D&D before, playing drael(not sure if I spelled that right) the orcish fighter/reaping mauler.

me, scott and bob all played in the legendary low-magic game last year, but scott has a new character this time.

tonight was the first session of the new game, and it was a lot of fun :3
here is one of the highlights as I explained it to sine:

scorp: well mole's running his low-magic campaign again, only with a slightly different party this time and set in a different area. aand it's really fun, and our new party members are both useful and hilarious.
scorp: example: on our way from one town to another, we come across an old woman trying to repair her cart which is laden with peaches
scorp: our orc fighter(drael) helps her get the cart fixed and she rewards us with two peaches each, but drael decides the peaches are so delicious he buys a whole sack worth
scorp: we go on our way, drael is busily devouring peaches, everyone else saves them for later.
scorp: as we near the other town, a druid riding a dire wolf appears, apparently tracking us, and comes up to our cart. my character, also a druid with a dire wolf companion, says hi and all that. drael offers him a peach.
scorp: turns out the peaches belong to this druid; the old woman stole them. druid asks how many drael has eaten, drael shows him the empty sack.
scorp: we are informed these are magic peaches, specially cultivated to stop children dying of dysentery. drael is not going to be pooping for a loooong while.

scorp: party falls about with laughter.

scorp: drael's player plays the role of a very constipated orc excellently, eventually manages to explosively relieve himself by means of a powerful laxative poison acquired by the assassin.
scorp: turns out he kept some of the peaches though...

scorp: later on, drael has to fulfil a promise he made to the captain of the royal guard. captain dude is going out with drael's sister, and they had a falling-out. in return for a big favour for the party, drael goes to visit his sister and mediate the situation. he listens to her tirade, weathers it well, says comforting words and gives her some peaches to cheer her up.
scorp: 'why the peaches?!' the rest of the party exclaim
scorp: 'why not chocolates, or her favourite fruit, or flowers...?' I wonder out loud.
scorp: 'ironically, peaches are her favourite fruit...' drael explains.
scorp: party leaves town in a hurry.
