One of my New Year's resolutions was to drink (not to taste but to actually feel it) for the first time EVER, in my ENTIRE LIFE. Yes, I'm 23. No, I'm not religious. No, I'm not straight-edge (although I do stay away from substances on principle.) Basically I have a giant fear of losing control of myself, an attitude that regularly manifests itself in my everyday life in many forms, most of which involve eating, planning, and the household.
So last night I had two mix drinks! One: vanilla vodka, orange juice and vanilla soymilk, which I made up and tastes like a creamsicle -- delicious!! Two: White Russian with vanilla soymilk (yes I love me some vanilla soymilk :p) -- Ok but a little too sweet; I got tired of it by the end. I also had about 1/4 shot of tequila, because Mike wanted to show me how to do a tequila shot. It was gross and it burned - I will not be doing that again.
I report tipsiness, mild woozy feelings (also I was tired from waking up at 6:45) and very slight tendency to speak my mind more openly. I decided vanilla vodka is pretty cool (we got Smirnoff) but tequila is kind of icky (maybe ok in daquiris and margaritas.) Holly also bought some Sailor Jerry's but we didn't end up opening it.
In the future I will probably be more likely to have one drink at parties, but two makes me feel sort of spacey and I didn't really like that. But hey guys-- I'm not a COMPLETE teetotaler anymore :D Aren't you proud? Hahahah.
Mike (my bf), Holly, Artur, Eva, and Kat (sort of) witnessed this event. :) Thanks guys for helping me have a new experience!
