dont save the book for France!! You probably (hopefully) wont have time to read it - and if you do have time, WRITE for God's sake! Keep a journal - it's better than pictures for remembering everything you did. Just write down what you did each day before you go to bed - that's what i did and it's the best move i made in probably like the last 6 years of my life. (exaggeration? maybe.)

Take french next year by the by - spanish to french = muy facile most likely. Plus french is totally the shit. Unless you really think Latin will help you in your field (which it might with all that Unum Sanctum Papum Crescunt stuff) then that might be wise.

I dunno basically I'm just really envious. When you go to Chartres be like, this one is for pat and give a sammy sosa chest bump, kiss and point to the sky. I definitely spent way too much time researching that place this year and I'm bumbed i'm not going. Take lots of photos and most of all try to soak up every moment of it because, even though it will be unforgettable it will also be unobtainable once it's over - lost in the hazy past.
