On August 23rd, the biggest pay cut in American history went into effect. Striking numbers of American workers will be receiving no over-time pay due to the regular idiotic decisions of the Bush Administration. While over-time pay is being taken away from millions of workers, our tax dollars will be used to "assist" companies to decide who gets over-time pay, and who doesn't get overtime pay. Many victims of this pay cut include nurses. Hospitals across the country are already short of staff, so many nurses are forced to take over-time shifts. However, they'll no longer be paid for these shifts, no thanks to the Bush administration. Let us hope that the next time Bush decides to choke on a pretzel, the nurses whose over-time pay he took away will be on strike.
