[Back home, Lyon is a proud Apprentice Queen's Knight serving the Prince of Falena. In Mayfield, however, she's just another 16 year old girl. And teenage girls are expected to attend high school during the week, so that's where Lyon is today. [Lucky Lyon has had the supreme good fortune of being slotted into Susan's English class; naturally, knowing everyone in the class by sight, she'll glance up at the new arrival before reaching down into her desk to rummage up the list of students and examine the new names that have appeared.]
You, in the back - Could you come up for a moment, please? Yes, the one with the pink backpack.

[Lyon picks up her backpack and heads up to the front of the room.]

What's your name?

[Said with conviction! To hell with what the drones and the attendance list say.]

[Susan does a quick scan of the list before frowning slightly.]
I don't seem to have you on here. Do you want to take a look? If that's your surname, the town might have changed it when you arrived.

[She gives a grateful bow of the head.]
And I've never been to a school like this before, so I'm afraid I don't know much about what goes on here. Is there anything important I should know...?

Aside from that, you shouldn't have too much trouble. Watch out for history if you're not from America - You won't know a thing, and you'll have to catch up rather quickly if you don't want to be completely lost. If you're lucky, you'll have my Grandfather. The homework the drones assign isn't mandatory, but you'll be better off making an attempt at it than suffering through lectures and detention.
The homework I assign is mandatory, of course.

[And the clock ticks the hour. Susan stands as the last of the students files in and closes the door.]
Good morning, class. Though I suspect it won't be very good for long. Pencils out; it's time for a pop quiz.

...Pop quiz?
[Lyon isn't terribly sure what that is, but she takes her pencil out anyway.]
