Oh, nothing in particular. I've been practicing on my own lately, so I thought I'd try making a pie for us all to share later.

It's so intense!

It looks like you've been getting pretty good at cooking lately.

I know. It's funny how boring this place gets in between.... well, you know.

Maybe I should try taking up a new hobby.

Maybe you could try a sport?

I was never really very good at those...

But I guess maybe I could try.

[Ken is the sportsman. Omi's hobbies mostly involved the computer, which is kind of a moot point in Mayfield. He sighs.]

To be honest, I never really expected to be here long enough to worry about things like free time...

You're right. I hadn't even noticed. It's already been over five months for me, too.

I know... I think we just kind of got used to this place.

I don't think we're the only ones, either...

Maybe that's the real danger of this place.

I think it is. Because I've noticed that people seem to be getting more and more complacent. When I got here, there was talk of organizing a resistance.

Now, though.....

Everyone here is so disorganized. They're all fighting for themselves, or not at all.

I know.... This town is just really good at demoralizing people.

Now that I think about it, targeting holidays specifically for terrible events is a stroke of genius from their perspective.
