So all the girls from work went out last night to dinner. We'd been planning it for about a week. The reservation was for 18 at Kelsey's.

In the day, at work, the new girl Barbara (whom we never thought was stupid, but we dislike for her insolence and laziness) goes up to Veronica and says, "So, who's paying tonight?"

Right. Like one of us is going to pick up a $400 tab.

Then she lied to us and said she had a family dinner to go to. After pretending she thought we were going at 3:30. To dinner. When we finish work at 6. She's really bad at being believable. She also plain flat out told someone she had no money to go.

Geez. If you're going to lie, at least be consistent.
