He stood out from all of them, a head taller than any other man she’d ever seen, and was dressed in white, head to toe. White shoes, white slacks, white shirt and white jacket, white neck, white cheeks, white lips, white hat on his white head. Under the reddening evening sky and the neon light garlands, he looked pink like the water lily.
