I love tropey plots a lot, I also love fics without plot that are just PWP or tragic emotions in stressful situations. Humor is very good too.

I love this fandom very, very much. I love the characters and the cosmology.
My favorite fandom-specific tropes are characters turned into monsters (Beholding!Jon, Beholding!Martin or Web!Martin, Slaughter!Melanie), and every flavor of mind control, compulsion of course, spiders, Spiral mind alteration, and well, characters turning into monsters also means reduction of free will.
Martin Blackwood/Jonathan Sims
I love Martin's crush on Jon and want it never to stop. I love one-sided, love requited too - Jon has gone so far since season one, after all. And everything in between, like Jon not being sure about his feelings. I also love Jon being incredibly oblivious, it's canon.
I love fics everywhere in the timeline. Pre-canon with them both researching ghosts or so and Martin falling for Jon is good. Sharing a bed in season 1, comfort in season 2 (we never saw Martin finding Jon hurt by Michael, after all).
But of course, I also adore possible futures (including AUs where end of season 3 never happened)(when I'm writing this it hasn't happened yet but I know we'll need AUs). I love Beholding monster!Jon, I love Web!Martin or Beholding!Martin, I love dramatic deaths, I love the idea of Jon missing dead!Martin so much that he puts him in Mary's book, I love the idea of Martin following Jon into the Watcher's Crown, i love the idea of him not doing it but still loving him...
Also, Jon using compulsion on Martin, with his consent or not, makes everything better.
[Edit] Post-season 3 Martin watching over Jon while he's in the coma, and still loving him when he wakes up even if Jon's heart does no longer beat, and he's far more monster than he was, is perfect too.

I put these two ships together, because i'm very attached to Martin being in love with Jon, and Elias... well, at least wanting Jon. So even if he's not in the fic, because it's a future when he's dead, because it's while he's in the USA, or just because it's porn and he's very much ace, I think they will think about him a lot.
I'm all for every situation where something magic makes them have sex. Artefacts, Leitner tomes, Beholding rituals, anything you can imagine. I also love complicated power games, I love Jon turning into a monster, Elias enjoying it fully, and Martin being horrified but turned on. I love dark futures. I love the Watcher's Crown being a possibility, or even having already taken place.
Here again, compulsion is delightful, Elias clearly loves it, I'm sure Martin would love it too, though for very different reasons (I headcanon him as quite submissive)

I absolutely love their interaction, and then it was cut too short. I love fics where a version of Sasha comes back. And I really like that no one would remember her face, but Michael (and Melanie, see later) would.
But well, alternate universes where she never was replaced are wonderful too, and happier!
And if you want to stay in canon universe, you know, weird Spiral-tainted dreams of courtship or porn are very, very good.
Also, I want some Michael/Sasha being here, but if you want to go overboard and add some Michael Shelley/Sasha (I mean, he was an Archival Assistant too) or Helen/Sasha with weird identities issues, I'm all for it too.

I really love the idea that Melanie is the only person alive who remembers Sasha's face. It's so sad and there can be so many spins on it.
I really like fics where Sasha comes back as a creature, be it a ghost (and Melanie knows a few things about ghosts) or a Stranger creature if Not!Sasha is actually a changeling and there's a dimension swap (after all, they never found the body) or anything weird, really.
Happy AU where Sasha never died and they do ghost projects related together are good too!
I like Melanie as she was in her first apparition when she met Sasha, I like fully Slaughter!Melanie and everything in between. I'd like better if she doesn't hurt Sasha on purpose, though!

I love this ship so much, be it pre-betrayal, missing scenes in Portal Era, post-canon, or canon divergence AU. I really like better if Bill is a triangle (though he can canonically shapeshift of you need him to). I also really love if Ford is not written as evil or cold - just somehow self-centered.
I'm totally sure Ford has the biggest crush of Bill while he was building the Portal, I love to see this in fic. You're free to decide how Bill thought about it, how physical it became, and how it changed with time. I like better when Bill is not too obvious in his evilness and is actually good as manipulating Ford, better than Ford being totally oblivious (even if he's still completely smitten). Bill can totally be weird, chaotic, or subtly manipulating Ford into evil, though!
For the body horror and transformation tropes, it can be reversible, or you can go full canon divergence on it.
I love the idea of Bill and Ford, while ford was in the Portal, meeting and having to work with each other and hating every second of it (or do they?).
Also, post-canon! Can be just Ford thinking about Bill a lot, dreaming about him and having difficulties determining what is real. Or can be Bill actually coming back, as a ghost or in the "flesh" (not as a human though). I love amnesiac!Bill, especially the version where he's still very powerful and Ford has to gaslight him into being a good person. I'd like for him to be not so easily forgiven, though, and especially not forgiven before the fic starts.

I adore Claremont era, with all the cheesy tropes and mind control everywhere. I just love this version of the character. But there also are some more recent versions that I adore, Bendis Era for Kitty and Illyana, the Wells/DNA run of the New Mutants, and Carey writes a delightful Xavier and I loved his interaction with Magneto.
Kitty Pryde/Illyana Rasputin (Marvel Comics)
I love everything about Illyana fighting her dark side. My favorite thing is Limbo having weird influences on her, or making weird magical accidents happen. I also like Kitty being a science and pop culture nerd. I love them having adventures, or trying to have some normal activities.
I love their friendship, so in my head the romance is in addition, not instead. To me Illyana is in love with Kitty, but it can be one-sided, or Kitty can be in denial. If it's mutual, I love better get-together than established relationship.
I love canon divergence, from the multiple comics using this concept, or your own, if it keeps the core relationship. Evil!Illyana is very okay if it's magical influence, I'm not big about evil!Kitty.
Underage sex is okay if they're the same age, more than 14, and not implied being experienced already.

Here again, I love one-sided, with Warlock being totally smitten, or it can get requited. If it's mutual, I love better get-together than established relationship.
I love superhero adventures, just them together, without a team. I also love the old New Mutants team a lot.
Every reference to the canon sequences of Doug dying, then being back under mind control, and Warlock saving him, will make me incredibly happy. Also, Warlock's weird "Douglock" persona can so easily been read as shipping.
I love everything that uses Doug's powers, and Warlock's alien side, that can be sometimes creepy even if he's such a fluffball.
I also love how Doug's powers can allow him to rewrite Warlock's very being - probably as a trust thing, not some evil thing, but you know, mind control is a thing that happens in this verse.
You can use canon divergence AUs as long as the core relationship is still here! Canon ones (like Age of X) or your own.

They have so long an history! And I can even take everything that happens out of any timeline, just having them be enemies who love each other very much, you know? Or alternate timelines. As long as the core relationship is here, I'll be glad.
More interactions in their first encounter are good (no bashing of Gabrielle please, I adore her). Times where they worked together, times where they were enemies, times where Magneto was stable, or at his worst. I like Xavier not being totally an asshole (but still a bit, he's himself), and having big moral qualms with brainwashing (he can still do this, but is very desperate situations)
Magneto being "dead" and Xavier having a copy of him in his head during the nineties was awesome. About characters being dead, any flavour of Magneto coping with Xavier coming back now would be so cool.
I just love psychic shenanigans, and Xavier's powers have incredible potential for all kind of super-interesting situations.

I love the twisted relationship between John and Scorpius (and Harvey, I talked about Scorpius but anything about any version of Harvey is really fine). Scorpius' open interest and John's reluctant need to understand. I especially love when they're forced to work together, even in season 4 there wasn't enough of this. Everything with mind games, implying the chip or just manipulation, is awesome too. Scorpius thinking about John a lot and saving him at a point of the show without John noticing is delightful too.

I adore Claremont era, with all the cheesy tropes and mind control everywhere. I just love this version of the character. But there also are some more recent versions that I adore, Bendis Era for Kitty and Illyana, the Wells/DNA run of the New Mutants, and Carey writes a delightful Xavier and I loved his interaction with Magneto.
Kitty Pryde/Illyana Rasputin (Marvel Comics)
I love everything about Illyana fighting her dark side. My favorite thing is Limbo having weird influences on her, or making weird magical accidents happen. I also like Kitty being a science and pop culture nerd. I love them having adventures, or trying to have some normal activities.
I love their friendship, so in my head the romance is in addition, not instead. To me Illyana is in love with Kitty, but it can be one-sided, or Kitty can be in denial. If it's mutual, I love better get-together than established relationship.
I love canon divergence, from the multiple comics using this concept, or your own, if it keeps the core relationship. Evil!Illyana is very okay if it's magical influence, I'm not big about evil!Kitty.
Underage sex is okay if they're the same age, more than 14, and not implied being experienced already.

I love superhero adventures, just them together, without a team. I also love the old New Mutants team a lot.
Every reference to the canon sequences of Doug dying, then being back under mind control, and Warlock saving him, will make me incredibly happy. Also, Warlock's weird "Douglock" persona can so easily been read as shipping.
I love everything that uses Doug's powers, and Warlock's alien side, that can be sometimes creepy even if he's such a fluffball.
I also love how Doug's powers can allow him to rewrite Warlock's very being - probably as a trust thing, not some evil thing, but you know, mind control is a thing that happens in this verse.
You can use canon divergence AUs as long as the core relationship is still here! Canon ones (like Age of X) or your own.

They have so long an history! And I can even take everything that happens out of any timeline, just having them be enemies who love each other very much, you know? Or alternate timelines. As long as the core relationship is here, I'll be glad.
More interactions in their first encounter are good (no bashing of Gabrielle please, I adore her). Times where they worked together, times where they were enemies, times where Magneto was stable, or at his worst. I like Xavier not being totally an asshole (but still a bit, he's himself), and having big moral qualms with brainwashing (he can still do this, but is very desperate situations)
Magneto being "dead" and Xavier having a copy of him in his head during the nineties was awesome. About characters being dead, any flavour of Magneto coping with Xavier coming back now would be so cool.
I just love psychic shenanigans, and Xavier's powers have incredible potential for all kind of super-interesting situations.

I love the twisted relationship between John and Scorpius (and Harvey, I talked about Scorpius but anything about any version of Harvey is really fine). Scorpius' open interest and John's reluctant need to understand. I especially love when they're forced to work together, even in season 4 there wasn't enough of this. Everything with mind games, implying the chip or just manipulation, is awesome too. Scorpius thinking about John a lot and saving him at a point of the show without John noticing is delightful too.
