Well, if you do go into game design, there is always SCAD. Though then you'd have to learn to draw... you'd be surprised how many people go into these art fields not knowing at all how to draw or sucking at it.
Most of us don't really know what we are gonna do with our life. Hell all I know is i am getting an illustration degree- where that will take me? Iunno.
After all we could be fantasizing all these things we want to do with our life only to have it end suddenly and unexpectedly.
We have to appreciate what we do have for just that reason, as mundane as it may be, embrace it, and then push forward with what we do decide to do day by day. Its good to set up plans for the future, but life's everyday adventures can be just as exciting.
For example, at 4:30 this morning Sarah Miller's phone number was calling my cell. I answered and this kid named Kevin started asking me about the pair of handcuffs that Sarah has and whether I really was the one to get them for her and not Brent. Now at 4:30 in the morning, that is not just awkward, but an epic way to start my morning. And it was nice to hear Sarah's voice as she grabbed the phone away from him and apologized. First time I've heard it since summer.
Though if you don't want life to be mundane, don't let it be. It may not be fantasy material, but it damn well can be fairly epic. Do crazy shit like light saber battles in the streets, running around campus with buddies like in a first person shooter game, make awkward quotes from movies during class to answer a prof's question... my friend robby did that one with a quote from jurrasic park and it had nothing to do with what they were discussing in class....
make your life interesting ^_^ and get your friends to help.
I'm not sure if I really want to go into game design, though.
It seems like something I enjoy too much to make a living out of without ruining it for me. Then again, I would be very passionate about it.
I heard SCAD is looking for people who can design their own characters for their games opposed to using other people's designs. If that's true, I'd be screwed if I go there. Cost-wise, it is much cheaper than here. Also, I have no idea what their transfer rate is, but I'll take a look into it.
I'll have to start doing the movie quote thing. I have a dry erase board on my door, perhaps I'll just have a quote of the day or something like that.
Starting this weekend, I'm going to have a room to myself. My roommate is finally moving out. Give me a few days to fumigate the room of the smell and sanitize everything and it'll be a party zone. Woot woot.
Sooner or later Josh and I will get a camera and we'll start making out videos.
