Skip "Generic Horseshit Action Movie" G.I.Joe, Transformers 2, terminator 4, and go see what an action movie should be:

and have plenty of explosions.
I'm sick to death of producers and directors being unable to get anyone to buy their generic re-hashed action movie plots that were done better by Arnold in the eighties. I didn't want generic, I wanted traits that made the Joes the Joes. If you swapped all the names in G.I. Joe it's the exact same action movie, the only thing that makes it G.I.Joe is the name. If you made the Giant robots in transformers 2 giant lizards, same movie there is nothing that makes them them, they are bland generic characters that might as well have been named "Action soldier 1" and "Action robot 1".
GO see a movie with a hero that will get you so pissed at him you'll want to jump through the screen and choke him, a hero with flaws, a hero you can laugh at and with, a hero that you can cheer for and get behind, and a hero that's fallible enough to even make you misty eyed.
Go see district 9. you won't be sorry.
