The Well Stocked Pantry

(Yes, I am still food-obsessed; this is what I do when I am too crashy to actually get up and cook.)

A friend of mine gave me a link to Eating Well's list for the well stocked pantry. I thought this was a very well-done list and it was surprising how much of it I keep on hand myself, even with my rather serious dietary restrictions. The only thing I'd quibble about is that some of the low-fat dairy is usually made low-fat by adding weird stuff to it, so I'd stick with full-fat for my sour cream and if I'm springing for raw milk, I darn well want the healthy and yummy fat, too. However some people do a lot better on low-fat than I do. De gustibus non est disputandum. (Or for individual metabolisms.)

Because I am a fiddling weasel, I have modified it to my own circumstances. (Seriously grody URL there; I wish Evernote had a nicer-looking URL system on its shared notes.)
