What sorts of grocery stores sell quail eggs? I don't believe the "regular" store here has them, unless they're off in the specialty foods section.

I got them at Whole Foods (AKA Whole Paycheck), which also sells duck eggs and sometimes goose eggs. They're pricy but a nice occasional treat. I think you can also find them at gourmet stores (such as Draeger's in Palo Alto) and Japanese food stores. If you have trouble finding them you might try going to a sushi bar and asking them where they get their quail eggs.
