as we all start to go back to school whether we are finishing our last year in high school or we are starting our first year of college or we're going into our second or third year of college, or for even a special few who are starting to class up in the military I think this summer has been a tremendous lesson to all of us. This summer I lost what at one point in time was a good friendship. I don't regret anything about losing that friendship, i don't regret anything about having that friendship. People can change, sometimes we all can make mistakes, but lets not mistake a "mistake" for something that someone diliberetly did.
This summer i found love in a place where i least expected it, and although august has been the hardest month of the entire summer, learning the sad truth about how quickly a life can be taken away from us, it has also been the happiest month for me. I'm closer to all my friends than ever before, and no matter whether it has been days weeks or months since the last time i talked to them, im glad they all know that no matter what i am there for them, and i know they are there for me as well. I have a wonderful boyfriend, and even though we are roughly a little over an hour away from each other, we still make it work, and we still make time for each other every day, even if it is just 10 minutes on the phone at night or when one of us has a break from work. Both of my parents like him, which is something i never really expected from my dad so quickly. This is the ending finale to one of my favorite movie's RENT. I think it fits this summer very well.
