Tomorrow we leave for Torrance. I pray the weather will break long enough for us to make our trek down the Grapevine. I got a text from my oldest sister, Tia, at 9:05 that her and my niece had landed safely at LAX and that was safest part of their trip; the long flight miles above the ground. They were waiting for my mother to retrieve them from the terminal and thus starting their perilous adventure through LA to Torrance.
Of course there was a bit of a delay on the "pick-up part". "Just landed mom is circling the airport lol" (9:05 pm) followed by "She is have a time trying to pick us up. She wants us to take the shuttle to Alamo because she knows where that is." (9:15 pm) Finally, "In the car fun begins" (9:30 pm). At This point, my mother and father switch positions and my sister and niece are suddenly swung from "deaths knocking at the door" driving to "Death himself will take it from here." My father almost hit a car, created his own left turn lane to get onto the on ramp, and can only drive 55 on the freeway. Between our fiery texting I asked about my niece. "How is ashton? Have you started spontaneously saying the lords prayer yet?" My sister replied "Yep. She is texting me her concerns." HAHAHAHAHAHA.....we are so bad. And we are all jointly terrified to be in the car with either my mother or father driving.
Think that is it? HA! No, not with my family. My phone rights at 10:13 pm, "Hey." The southern accent is so thick it hits me in the face. "Dad is going to kill us. I am at Walmart trying to get tampons for Ashton. Dad dropped me off and I lost him, but the store is closed." This is quickly followed by "HE IS GOING TO HIT ME. ME! I am standing right here on the curb and he is about to hit me." Then there is a few minutes of bickering because they are trying to find a store for Ashton. Apparently my little niece never learned you ALWAYS BRING TAMPONS WITH YOU on a trip no matter what. Even if you just got off you still bring them. I think this excursion will engrain in her memory to bring tampons on her next trip.
My sister asked in a low voice "Please pray for us. We are on the road again. Love you and I will see you on Sunday." If this is a bell weather for things to come, its going to be a VERY interesting trip. I will try to get video of my family talking. So that

Until my next post, see ya'll soon.
