History: Born to a life of extreme privilege and the wonders of technology, Kimiko is the only daughter of Toshiro and Jinsi Tohomiko, and heiress to the popular video game company, Tohomiko Electronics. Toshiro and Jinsi had loved each other very much, and were over the moon when Jinsi discovered she was pregnant. But tragedy struck when Jinsi died due to complications in the delivery room, and Toshiro was shaken to his core. There he was, the young CEO of a thriving and highly demanding company, suddenly facing the daunting task of raising a daughter on his own. He fretted and worried, his mind foggy with exhaustion and grief.
Then, he looked into his newborn baby girl’s eyes. Her piercing blue eyes. And all of his fears melted away.
Growing up, Kimiko was showered with attention and gifts. No expense was too much for the Japanese girl, and Toshiro always made sure his daughter was happy and very much loved. Of course, the work of a CEO often kept him away from the growing girl, and he mainly supplied her with gifts in the forms of the latest games and gadgets- Kimiko practically had to beg her Papa for new clothes. But his heart was in the right place. And Kimiko wasn't complaining too much about the gifts; she was quickly becoming the most technologically savvy girl in her small entourage of friends.
As she entered her twelfth year, Kimiko began feeling and inexplicable draw towards fire. Whether it was a roaring fireplace, or a flickering candle, the dancing flames were hypnotic. Play with fire, you’ll get burned; she had heard the saying countless times, but Kimiko felt as if that saying wouldn’t apply to her. She wasn’t going to go and plunge her hand into flames just to prove a point like some kind of crazy person, but Kimiko just knew. She trusted fire like an old friend. People had always told her she had a fiery temper, so maybe she was unconsciously taking everyone’s words to heart.
The answers to everything came in the form of a sudden visit from an old man who called himself Master Fung. He spun a fantastic tale for Kimiko and her father, a tale of magic and might, and control over the four elements. The tale of the Four Dragons. According to Master Fung, Kimiko was a Chosen One, destined to one day become the Dragon of Fire. Though the entire idea seemed crazy and far-fetched to any average person, something in the old man’s words rang true to the young heiress. Who says she couldn’t be this Chosen One? This master of fire? After discussing it with her father, who’s reluctance to let go of his only child was at war with the wondrous opportunity presented to her, Kimiko packed her most important belongings (her entire wardrobe and arsenal of portable tech), hopped on her family’s private jet and left for China, and the mysterious Xiaolin Temple.
Once she arrived at the Temple, Kimiko was somewhat distressed by the fact that the entire place basically consisted of old men like Master Fung. The prospect of being the only girl in the area was a depressing one, and she immediately got on her phone to lament her situation to her best friend, Keiko, and to obviously pick up on the news and gossip she had missed out on during her trip.
Chatting away on her phone, Kimiko hardly payed attention as she was ushered into a small room that was currently inhabited by two boys around her age, possibly a few years older. A lanky Brazillian in cargo pants and a hoody, Raimundo Pedrosa, and a large blond in full cowboy regalia, Clay Bailey. She nodded and waved a hand during introductions, engrossed in Keiko’s prattles about boys and fashion. Then another boy was brought in the mix, a small child with a rather large, round head. His name was Omi, and according to him, he was going to be their teacher. But that entire plan was soon sorted out, with the fact that he had just as much to learn as they did.
The four Chosen Ones were quick to learn just what their duties as Dragons in training consisted of. They were meant to find and aquire ancient artifacts of power known as Shen Gong Wu, and keep it from falling into the hands of evil, the Heylin. It was a constant battle, whether against the bumbling Jack Spicer, the ruthless Wuya, the viscious Chase Young, or the horrifying Hannibal Roy Bean. Kimiko had her own personal fights to face during the earliest time of her training, the constant battle to prove herself as a worthy opponant, and the ability to learn mental focus.
Years of fighting, filled with betrayal from friends and surprising allies proved worth it in the long run. Kimiko, along with her three fellow warriors, rose quickly in the ranks and fine-tuned their elemental abilities. Kimiko is currently at the stage of Wudai Warrior, under the leadership of Raimundo, and the four are still fighting the seemingly endless battle against the Heylin.
Personality: Much like her element, Kimiko's personality is a fiery force to be reckoned with. Though docile and rational most of the time, a quick to flare temper coupled with a sharp tongue and a mean right hook are just some of the reasons to tread lightly around the young Dragon. Kimiko loaths sexist attidudes, and has expressed said loathing quite passionatly to her fellow teamates on countless occasions. Her anger and emotional instability are difficult to get over, and Kimiko has often let her pride and rage cloud her better judgement. Though she has calmed considerably with age, and plenty of focus, the fire is always burning right below the surface.
Despite her obvious tempermental issues, Kimiko can also be very kind and gentle towards her loved ones. As she grew older, a stern, mothering attitude had started to develope somewhat around her teamates. Kimiko is quick to scold people for their wrongdoings, and try to set them on the right path for life, feeling a need to take proper care of everyone. A very talkative, thought driven person, Kimiko always has something to say and isn't afraid to speak her mind. She'll open up easily and spill out all of her thoughts and aspirations on the table if someone even shows the slightest bit of interest. Most would say that she could hold an entire conversation on her own, which is somewhat true. She isn't one who needs any one's help to keep a conversation going for a long as she wishes, but every once in a while she will stop and ask for an opinion. If she learns you haven't been listening to her, she finds it extremely offensive.
Kimiko has been called a gossip on more than one occasion. Not that she enjoys spreading it, but whenever Keiko calls her up with some jucy information, she's not one to pass it up. If she wasn't able to keep up communications with her friend in Tokyo, Kimiko wouldn't know what to do. She relies heavily on her technology and knowledge about said tech has helped the team more than once.
To refer to Kimiko as spoiled would be a low blow. Of course, being an heiress to a thriving company, she has had more luxuries than most, and can whine when certain things are denied from her. But on a whole, Kimiko is very down to earth and always willing to share with others. She simply needs to occasionally set her priorities straight.
One of the major cores of Kimiko's personality is the thirst to prove herself. She constantly strives for perfection due to her own nagging feeling of inadequacy due to her gender. Not about to admit those feelings to anyone head-on, Kimiko allows her insecurities to shine though by constantly changing her looks. She unconciously showing just how uncomfortable she truly is with herself.
Other: Being the Dragon of Fire, Kimiko has mastered full control over her element. She has the ability to conjure and manipulate fire, shield herself and her allies from blasts, and propel herself through the air for short periods with a well timed burst of flames. Thanks to her abilities, Kimiko has developed a resistance to extreme heat, and can draw large amounts of power from both her own internal body-heat, and the sun. At the same time, her abilities are weakened in areas that are damp, has lots of moisture in the atmosphere, or if the air is very thin. Her temperament plays a large factor in her power, and Kimiko has had to learn discipline lest she wanted to burn down the Temple in a fit of rage.
Kimiko is a quick witted, and skilled fighter. Her fighting style tends to be sharp and precise, with an excessive amount of kicking and flipping instead of brute force. She uses her small stature as an advantage, with the ability to move more swiftly around her opponents and deal more blows. over the course of her training, Kimiko's signature moves have included the 'Judolette Flip', which allows her to draw flames around her form when moving fast enough, and 'Wudai Mars Fire', a much more powerful and volatile move.
When it comes to weaponry, Kimiko tends to use precision instruments. Her Shen Gong Wu of choice is the Star Hanabi, which, when combined with her element, becomes a flaming shuriken of sorts. Though she prefers using the star, Kimiko has also favored the Tangled Web Comb, and the Eye of Dashi. Her Wudai weapon, the Arrow Sparrows are an arsenal of sharp, bird-shaped darts that burst into flame when used, and are strengthened tenfold when used with her elemental Shen Gong Wu, the Cat's Eye Draco. Kimiko has also used her skills with technology on multiple occasions.

[The web-cam flashes on, revealing the sullen face of Kimiko Tohomiko. She looks battered and bruised, her pigtails appear to visibly droop.]
I can't believe this, Keiko. We lost another showdown, and to Jack of all people!
[Her depressed look twists into one of disgust.]
You should have seen him gloating, it was like looking at a monkey being handed a bunch of bananas. [Softens slightly.] Rai told us that we're more than able to get the Wu back, but I think he was more disappointed than he let on. It was the first major Xiaolin Showdown since he became leader, and I think he was more upset with himself than anything! But it's not his fault, I wish I could do something to make him feel bett--
[ There's a voice calling off-screen, and Kimkiko pauses to listen.]
Oops, gotta fly Keiko, it's training time. Sayonara!
[The screen goes black.]
Third Person:
"I am going to KILL HIM!"
The voice of a furious Japanese girl rang off of the walls of the Temple. Kimiko stormed from the main hall, just needing to get away. First, Master Fung told her that one of her new training regimes would consist of meditating for two hours a day in order to gain some self-control. According to him, her emotional instability was negatively affecting her elemental abilities as a Xiaolin Dragon, whatever that meant. She had stood there, quietly seething, while Omi and Raimundo chuckled behind her back. Clay had been the only one wise enough to keep quiet.
Then, Raimundo had to a snide remark. He just had to.
So, she had lost her temper. Just a bit, the scorch marks in the hall could most likely be washed away! No harm done! But, the look on Master Fung's face, the disappointment, that couldn't be so easily righted.
Kimiko snarled under her breath as she reached the courtyard, angrily kicking a stray pebble. Raimundo just knew how to push her buttons, and she shouldn't let him get to her so easily. She had thought that she had long since learned some focus and attitude, but apparently not. A heavy sigh escaped her lips, and she rolled her eyes to the heavens.
" As long as Omi doesn't blame my temper on the fact that I'm a girl." she muttered, cracking her knuckles. " Then I'd really have no control over my actions."
