Loki figured he should at least make an appearance in his office since guests were crawling around the island. Not that he was a great teacher as exhibited by the fact that he was currently cursing while playing a hand held video game.

He was there though so he thought that showed some responsibility.

Harold Weir knocked on the door of Loki's office. "Excuse me, Mr. Loki?" he asked, making sure he was at the right place.

"What the fuck is this mister shit?" Loki asked, glancing up at his newest visitor. "Just Loki."

[theyredead]

"No kidding, just Loki. No way I'm giving you the privilege of being called mister after that display. You teach my kid with that kind of language?"

Harold Weir was not pleased.

Loki raised an eyebrow. "Which one's your kid?"

[theyredead]

"Lindsay, Lindsay Weir," Harold said. "I'm her father, and I don't take kindly to such vulgarity, thank you very much."

[flipped_god_off]

"Well, sorry, man but that's how I roll," Loki said, shrugging. "The kids are used to it, the kids don't care. It's not like I'm teaching them to go strip for money."

[theyredead]

"You better not," Harold said, a little exasperated. He'd have to talk with Lindsay about this later. "And what kind of expression is that? How you roll? What are you supposed to rolling?"

"A doobie," Loki said dryly, rolling his eyes. "I share 'em with the kids during class."

[theyredead]

"Oh, very funny," Harold said. "I'd be able to smell it if you were one of those airheads. What exactly do you teach, sarcasm?"

[flipped_god_off]

"No, but I think I'd be really fucking good at that if I did," Loki said breezily. "I teach a class on what it takes to be a badass. The kids seem to like it."

[theyredead]

"A badass," Harold scoffed. "You know who else thought he was a badass? James Dean. You know what happened to him?"

There was a little pause. "He's dead."

[flipped_god_off]

"Are you going to lecture me this entire time?" Loki wondered curiously. "If you are, would you mind if I read a magazine while you did?"

[theyredead]

Harold made a face. "Well, I was hoping to find out what her teacher's thought of my daughter."

He wasn't sure he cared what this guy thought, though.

[flipped_god_off]

"Lindsay's cool," Loki said, shrugging. "Mellow. She doesn't draw attention to herself but isn't completely dull either."

[theyredead]

"Well, good," Harold said. He wasn't going to ask how she was doing in terms of classwork. "Don't do anything stupid with her."

And then he turned to leave. He'd have to tell jean about this.
