This weekend, I was driving around with a friend, and we stopped at this little historical one room school house we had just happened to notice. The building inside was neat enough, but the guy in there was the most interesting part of the school.
He was volunteering his Saturdays to some historical society freely, and seemed ecstatic to talk to anyone who was interested in what Dearborn use to be, which roads use to be old Indian trails, and how where we were currently standing use to be under lake Erie. He showed us maps from before the 1900's and slightly over that displayed the layouts of all the the farmland with the names of the farmer's written in them like they were the most mouth watering pie you every tasted.
He liked his job. I wanted to be him.
