the last couple of days i've seen a few celebrities - well..british celebs that is..i saw Charlotte big-boobs Church in namco in her red slippers, shes shorter than i first thought..some fat bloke who does TV dinners Antony ready-steady-eat Worrall Thompson, altho i don't really like his show, i'd rather watch him, then a skinny chef - doesn't seem right to trust skinny chefs..there was another dude 4got his name but he looks a lil like dermot o'leary...and last but by no means least - i saw that fat dude Ricky funny-man Gervays!!!! he too is short and stumpy, i thought he was at least taller than me..its weird how i thought they'd all be taller, maybe TV does that - maybe i should be on TV and everyone will think i'm tall
the sys admin i mentioned in my last post did lose his job..so i took it upon myself to take his monitor and someone else took his comfy chair but his speakers are still sitting there waiting to be scoped up..and one of the project managers, she got fire on monday and one of the developers he also got fired..oh yes its not the greatest of feelings right now..shit happens sometimes and i'm always looking over my shoulder..
i was in manchester on monday & tuesday - the home of man united football and where everyone speaks with a strange, alien-like accent..i was sent there by my company to fix some computer/network - ON MY OWN with no guidance!! scary huh? i was on those newish Virgin trains, man those are freaking COOL!!! cuz they have a comedy radio station play throughout the journey - little britain, league of gentlemen and goodness gracious me but no swearing of course
i liek the offices there a whole lot more, much higher ceilings and is a mix of old school red brick work and whole white window frame styliee, only downside is they don't play music as loud as i'd like but hey, nuttin is perfect..i was staying at the premiertravelinn.com where the breakfast was like all you can eat buffet!! yea i felt a lil embarrassed to ask "aarrmm..can i go up more than once?" and she laughed and said "go as many times as you like" i felt a lil greedy after 4 rounds, i felt like i coulda gone back to sleep too - was a good full english breakfast: 8 pieces of toast, 6 sausages, 8 bacon strips, scrambled egg, mushrooms and beans yyyyuuummmm..no harsh browns tho `:o( and if you like power showers (or like to use "mr shower head" - you know what i'm talking about!!), then you'll love this place!! double beds in all rooms too i think..
so seeing as i was out of the london offices on monday & tuesday, when i got to london on wednesday, guess how many e-mails were waiting for me??
those are requests for software/hardware upgrades, sites, dns, e-mail backups and the current curse word OpenVPN...
in other news, so i was in this car with these two freshers right and the girl goes "Our new place..is so wack!!!" *does the west side symbol with her hand..and the dude goes "YEA boy, place is WACK!!" and i'm like "so you're shits fucked up? wasup?" then the girl goes "our place it good" and they both look at me like wtf? turns out they have both been watching too much "Friends" and they thought "wack" meant good..oh yes let me hear you say "YOU PLICK!!" `:oD
