there are lot of things in life you get used to once you hear/read it on a regular basis, here are some prime examples:
a) "The...seven..thirty....seven...train to London Liverpool Street Station has been delayed due to signal failure..this train is excepted in......forty.....seven...minutes, we apologise for the delay in this service." now, they aren't really sorry - it's a recorded fucking message plus their driver went drinking the night before and hasn't shown up yet..
b) "Thank you for your interest in our company and your application to the recent position opening. We regret to inform you that you have been unsuccessful and we will not longer be processing your application. We wish you all the best in your future career." future career, what future career, you just shot me down..stupid auto-reply e-mail..fuckers..*added your e-mail & domain to porn sites
c) "We are unable to process your request. Inefficient Funds Available" yo momma!! can you firefox users see it blinking?? `:oD
i now think i won't be seeing at least one of them..after countless weeks of no income, 14 korean dvds, handful of hollywood blockbusters, 19 straight hours of bigbrother live feed and more applications sent out than grains of rice on my plate, i have finally GOT A NEW JOB!!!!!!, i get to start my nerdy career in computing, its a london based media company, soho to be exact (and no dirty thoughts about that area ok), they do website design, content management, interactive flash websites (e-learning), pda & flash games, digital marketing and hosting..of course i won't be doing any of that, im not that creative..i will be one of the sys admin people, yep one of the tech boys `:o) yes it is a job i want to do and it may seem boring but like with any job, its the environment that counts..i've been told i'll be the first point of contact(boring) - lan troubleshooting (if any), desktop builds, web server builds (hardware & software) on win2k3 and linux with apache/iis/could fusion and backups..
my application process was in 3 stages..i had an informal interview first - yes, jeans and t-shirt `:o) a week later, i got an e-mail asking me to start monday!! so no need for the second/third stages, i was so shocked i got it tho! what i like most; is i don't need to wear suits/shoes to work like a few of my "Young Professional" friends `:o) my dress down day - is everyday..
