“Fuck, that feels good.”
Those were the only words she could bring herself to say or think. Those were the only words that had managed to enter her head for the past twenty minutes. She wouldn’t let herself think that she was cheating, that this was wrong, that another woman was making her feel this way; a woman she considered her best friend. Lea just kissed her thighs gently, letting her fingers do things that Alex could only dream of doing, making her blonde counterpart make sounds he had never heard before.
“Fuck, t-that…that feels so good.”
Alex was good to her, wasn’t he? Sure, he didn’t really appreciate her photography, always giving her a “Yeah, that’s a cool shot, Di,” and never anything more. And sure, he paid no respect to her vegan diet, as evidence to the fact that her dinner from the night before had been veggie stir fry, while he went to town on a full rack of ribs; she had never seen something so vulgar in her life. And yes, whenever they were…intimate, he stopped after his orgasm, and if she hadn’t finished then she simply didn’t for the night. But he was kind, right? And he was friendly and funny and very smart.
But if that’s all true, then why was she in Lea’s house right now, sitting naked on the singer’s couch with her legs spread as Lea left love bites all over her thighs. Why was Lea making her feel things she had never come close to feeling with him?
Dianna had tried to ignore Lea’s signals leading up to that night. She looked the other way when she showed her friend and boyfriend her photographs and he would look at them blankly, causing the tiny brunette to scowl coldly. Dianna chose to ignore the many many times Alex had negatively critiqued her singing and Lea stepped in, snapping at the actor for being and “ignorant airhead,” and “having the balls to insult such a beautiful, talented singer.” Dianna simply didn’t want to believe it; she wanted to just be with Alex and live happily ever after. Dianna had never even been attracted to women before. She hadn’t realized she was attracted to Lea until one late-afternoon when the brunette found her crying in their joint trailer.
**
Lea opened the door with a big smile, but the second she saw the blonde curled in a ball on their couch, she slammed the door shut and rushed to her friend’s side, holding her as she asked what was wrong.
“A-Alex….” Dianna whimpered through her tears. She saw how tense Lea’s face got, and again chose to overlook it.
“What did that shithead say?” Lea hissed. That was hard to ignore, but Dianna wasn’t about to give in to whatever she was feeling.
“H-he…no, L-Lea, it’s ok, I’m just overreacting,” Dianna said through shuddered breaths, trying desperately to compose herself before Lea got involved.
“What. Did. He. Say.” It wasn’t a question, it was a demand. Dianna’s puffy red eyes looked into Lea’s stern ones.
“He wanted to get rid of our cats…the ones we rescued together,” Dianna said softly, dropping eye contact. She knew that Lea was passionate about many things, but the animals she saved were high on the list.
“That fucking dipshit!! Those cats were abandoned, how could he say that?! Those poor things, they needed a home, and you fucking gave it to them because you’re….” Lea tensed. She let herself get carried away and they both knew it.
“I’m what, Lea…” They both stayed silent.
“You’re amazing.” More silence. “I have to go. Just….stand up for yourself, if for nothing else, do it for the cats. Tell him they stay.” Lea pressed a kiss on the top of Dianna’s head, letting her lips linger before she left the trailer. She promptly jogged over to Naya and Heather’s trailer to cry to them about her love for Dianna and about her undying hatred for the man she was dating.
Dianna sat in her trailer for several minutes after that, not moving, just thinking. The only conclusion she could draw was that she needed to get very very drunk, very very quickly. She texted Chris to see if he knew of anything, and he had replied that Cory was having the cast over to his house that night, and that she should come. Part of the blonde knew that Lea would be there and she should probably avoid it, the other part decided that the singer’s presence was her very motive in going.
When her tiny blue mini-Coop pulled into Cory’s driveway, Dianna got out in a hurry and let herself in, the party already started. She made sure to keep her distance from Lea, just sipping her vodka and cranberry juice. How many had she had? She lost count after three, mostly because she couldn’t remember how to count after so much.
A few hours later, Dianna was resting in Cory’s game room on the top floor of his house. Her buzz was dying quickly, and she just wanted to be alone to think. Apparently she wasn’t the only one with the idea; Lea walked up the stairs casually and admired the blonde, who was slumped over in her own sadness.
“You know, they say misery loves company,” the brunette said warmly. Dianna looked up at her with sunken eyes.
“They also say friends shouldn’t do this to each other,” the blonde replied bitterly. She had enough alcohol in her system to blame whatever she said on the drinks; at least that’s what she tried to tell herself that night and the next morning.
Lea winced at the low blow. “Yeah, well….” Lea sighed and stepped into the room, closing the door behind her and sitting next to the blonde. She saw her chance and wasn’t going to give it up. “They say that amazing blonde women shouldn’t date assholes who don’t see how great they have it, especially when there’s someone else who would give anything to appreciate her.”
The two women stared at each other intensely. “Who says that?” Dianna asked, her throat suddenly dry.
“I say that.” Dianna blinked hard, letting a tear roll down her cheek. She knew then that Lea truly had feelings for her, and somehow, Dianna had those feelings back. Lea leaned in to kiss her, but Dianna turned away. Lea rested her hand on the blonde’s shoulder delicately. “Di…”
It took all of Dianna’s courage to turn her head. She looked into Lea’s eyes and saw how much the singer wanted this, wanted her. “I…I can’t do this. It’s not right to do this to Alex,” she sighed softly. She watched Lea’s jaw clench at the mention of his name.
“But it’s right for you. Can’t you see that?”
Dianna paused, the nodded gently. She knew Lea was right, she knew that Lea would be better to her, and that she would be loved by her. Dianna turned her head to face Lea and nodded again. Lea crept her head closer to Dianna’s, until they were breathing the same air. Dianna’s heart-rate picked up at the tension. Lea pressed her lips to Dianna’s softly, making sure that her first impression would be a good one. She rubbed one hand up and down Dianna’s thigh softly, feeling lightheaded at how soft the girl was.
After several minutes of soft kisses, Lea broke it and got up. Dianna looked at her questioningly, until she watched Lea straddle her lap, bringing the girls impossibly closer. Lea recaptured Dianna’s lips, this time with more passion, and slid her hands all over the taller girl’s arms and back. Lea pulled back for a second, whispering “You’re so beautiful,” in a hushed tone, before putting her lips back. She was making Dianna feel special; she never felt special with Alex.
Before Dianna knew it, Lea’s hands were up her shirt, cupping her breasts tenderly and rubbing her nipples through her bra. Dianna didn’t realize she had been panting until Lea began kissing up her jaw and she heard her own heavy breathing. She pulled back a bit from Lea and yanked her shirt off, eager to continue whatever this was. She never wanted anyone like she wanted Lea right then and there. And the singer was more than happy to oblige.
Lea let her hand slide down Dianna’s perfect abs, raking her nails along the ivory skin, before stopping at the hem of her pants. The brunette, who had been leaving dark hickeys on the blonde’s neck, stopped and nipped at her earlobe. “Can I?” Dianna was too lost in lust to do more than nod and soon the slim hand was inside her pants. Lea cupped Dianna’s sex in a somewhat awkward position, but neither cared. “You’re so wet,” Lea hissed, rubbing her hand along her lover’s slit.
“Fuck me, Lea,” Dianna groaned. She didn’t realize until now just how horny she was. She hadn’t taken into consideration that Alex had fucked her four times in the past month, and she didn’t cum once. Suddenly all those pent up hormones came rushing out, using the alcohol to make it ok. It didn’t take long for Lea to push two fingers inside.
“Shit…you’re so tight, Di,” Lea growled.
“Alex and I don’t….a lot…” Dianna didn’t know what to say, she just wanted to focus on the incredible feeling between her legs.
“He’s a dumb shit to not fuck you senseless every day,” Lea husked, picking up her pace. She was starting to get territorial. “If you were mine, I’d take you every chance I had, I’d fuck you till you couldn’t walk straight.”
“Yesss….more, Lea.”
“More? I’ll give you more, baby,” Lea groaned. “Every morning I’d wake up and ravish you. Make you feel how special you are, fuck you till you begged me to stop.” Lea started thrusting faster and harder, hoping that all of this could maybe happen one day. Dianna was purring. “Like that, Di? Like me giving it to you hard? Showing you what you’ve been missing while you’re with that asshole?” Dianna nodded, pushing her hips forward eagerly.
“Lea!! I-I’m close!!” Lea picked up the pace, watching the blonde’s face react with pure ecstasy. “Ooooh Leaaaa, yesssssss!!!” Lea felt her lover contracting around her fingers, reaching that peak of bliss. Finally the brunette slowed down, letting Dianna ride out her aftershocks.
Dianna collapsed backwards, her head resting on the back of the couch. She was exhausted. The last thing she remembered was Lea kissing her neck gingerly and whispering, “Go to sleep, beautiful.” That night, Lea gently laid Dianna out on the couch, put a blanked over the girl, and just as she carefully placed the quilt at the blonde’s neck, she felt the girl’s hand hold hers. Dianna wasn’t awake, more like in some in-between-dream state.
“Stay?” she whispered groggily. Lea’s heart soared.
“Of course.” Dianna fell asleep to Lea’s arm wrapped tightly around her waist, feeling the girl’s heartbeat on her back.
**
“This can’t happen again” Dianna said quickly as she threw her shirt on quickly and zipped up her jeans. Lea looked at her solemnly, knowing that Dianna wanted to mean what she said, but simply couldn’t. “I….” The blonde looked at Lea like there was some sort of obvious reason to all of it. And in a way there was; Alex. After every tryst the girls shared, it always ended this way. Dianna swearing this was the last time, that she really was happy with Alex and that she was going to stay with him. It hurt Lea endlessly every time, but she supposed she could keep on waiting. She knew that she had become the first person Dianna would call whenever she was sad or lonely or horny. It wasn’t Alex any more. It was just a matter of time before the tall girl would see that she really did belong with Lea.
“You know you say that every time.” Lea didn’t mean to speak that thought out loud, but it happened. Dianna, who had been sitting on the floor tying her shoelaces stopped. She didn’t look up, opting instead to just stare at the strands of string in her hands.
“Well…” she sighed and thought for another second. “I mean it this time.”
“You say that every time too.” There was silence. Lea worried she had struck a nerve.
Finally, Dianna looked Lea in the eyes. They were full of tears. “Lea, you don’t get it. I can’t do this again. I can’t keep putting myself through this. And I can’t keep doing this to you.” A single tear fell down the fair girl’s cheek. Lea lost it. She sprung off the couch and crouched down to the girl of her dreams. Her eyes were full of hope.
“Then don’t! Dianna, why can’t you just be with me? This doesn’t have to be some sordid affair, we can be together, I can make you happy! You’re fucking miserable with him, why are you doing this to yourself?!”
Dianna collapsed in a fit of tears, clutching her knees to her chin and sobbing into them. Lea felt like the wind got sucked out of her. She wrapped her arm around the other girl and gently rubbed her arm.”L-Lea, I’m not as s-s-strong as youuuu, I can’t j-just….just be ok with t-this!” Dianna continued to sob.
Lea shhh’d her lovingly. “It’s ok. We don’t have to be public. We don’t have to be anything you don’t want to be. Just let me help you Di. Let me make you happy.” Dianna calmed herself down some and looked into Lea’s big brown eyes. Her lips trembling, she managed to nod a little. Lea beamed which caused Dianna to smile meekly. They sat in silence for a few minutes while Dianna thought over the next step. Finally she broke the silence.
“I don’t want to go back to my place…”
“You can stay here. You’re always welcome, you know.”
Dianna smiled a little. “I know that. But he’s going to worry where I am.”
“Call him and tell him you’re staying here, we’re having Girl’s Night.”
Dianna thought for a few seconds. “Will you tell him with me? Tomorrow?”
Lea was taken aback by the abruptness, but nodded supportively. “I’d do anything for you baby, you know that.”
“Thank you.”
The girls stayed on the floor for a little while longer, Dianna still curled up, Lea still holding her lovingly.
“I love you, Di.”
“I’m getting there, Lea.”
