My Pain. My Words.

“Conclusion: fetch that fucking frisbee. You’re not getting out of here alive… no one does,” he whispered in an unusually low tone.

“We’ve made it this far, I’m not giving up now,” replied the other boy.

“I’ve had it. I’ve heard all my friends complain, thus getting them nowhere. I’ve heard myself complain, thus getting me nowhere. I’m going nowhere fast, obviously, as are my friends. We’re all caught up in our own problems, we never glimpse out of our rigid armor and take a short while to truly notice our surroundings. We’re stuck. And everytime we try to change, we end up at exactly the same place we were and we will always be. Everyone understands this, because everyone is included. No one is excluded. Learning other people’s history does not help us avoid repeating mistakes, it’s a waste of time. An idea. One idea. Any idea. We’re all obsessed with ourselves. We’re bored. We don’t like where we are. We have nowhere to go from here. We’ve lived just as much as adults have. It’s not there. They are not there. I don’t like the idea of this. The idea of it ending doesn’t seem too bad. It’s something that is without doubt different. I don’t think it could be worse. Well, it could be, but then I’d crave the underground even more. Don’t say no one understands because we all do. It’s all the same for everyone. Human beings exist to die. That makes life important, indefinitely. What is wrong with us? Let’s make a huge difference in someone else’s life so that they can do the same for other and so on and so on and so on. The cycle repeats itself and it, as of now, seems as if it will never end. I will hold my tears, and fall asleep to the ticking of the clock which will never stop. Time isn’t so much of an obstacle as it once was. Can I help you? Can I? Can I?”

“You’ll end up giving up. There’s no way you won’t. I’m sorry about it, but that’s the way it always ends and that’s the way this will end. At least it made you feel alive, more alive than you’ve ever been. At least it made you feel something,” spoke the boy.

“I love you,” whispered the boy.

“I love you, too” said the other boy.
