the end is near!

Just finished my Public Policy final, the only one that I was really worried about, and I think I did well. Felt adequately prepared, as I did finish all of the reading with enough time to go back and review some material and think a bit on how everything fit together. And I paced myself just fine this time. The midterm had both an essay question and some definitions, and I didn't leave enough time for the definitions, but this had two essays, so I just split the time 50/50. I didn't come up with examples for every single concept, but I sprinkled a few throughout, so I think I should get at least a B+ if not an A.

That just leaves the Social Problems and Microeconomics finals, plus my portfolio for Anthro. Was hoping to have finished my letter of intent for the portfolio by now, and maybe I would have if Erika and I hadn't watched Over the Hedge on Sunday. But I still should have plenty of time, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Plot was rather formulaic, but it was excellently executed with good voice acting (William Shatner and Wanda Sykes are brilliantly used), thrilling action, and puh-lenty of laughs. Plus anything that pokes fun of suburban sprawl is alright in my book. They used Hammy a heckuva lot like the squirrel in Hoodwinked, but to much better comic effect at the end. Well worth seeing, for sure!

Anyway, I'm screwed as far as internships (and still haven't heard confirmation on the FEE seminar), so my summer plans are still in the air. But I've signed up for a couple of summer classes, namely Social Theory and Economic History of Europe so far, though I'm thinking of dropping the latter in favor of a Psychology course in Cognition or Personality. And then I'll probably up the number of hours I'm working to 20 or so to boost our income (though it won't affect my stock option vesting, but I shouldn't complain).

Oh, and I found out the stop-payment on my check was because it was an accidental extra check. Darn. I hadn't really been keeping track, but I recall I was somewhat surprised to get it, so it makes sense. And we're trying to get AT&T/SBC/Yahoo! DSL setup. They're sending a self-install kit, so hopefully it'll be straightforward, although there was already a technical glitch in their system causing a delay, sigh.

Anyway, I should be working, so that's it for now.
