Various developments I totally didn't expect, both ups and downs. Won't elaborate too much, since I still have ECON101 reading to do. I am kinda pissed that, after
all I went through last Thursday to shoot the International Spring Banquet and then stopping into the Daily on Sunday to bring in the photos cuz the stupid DSL is still down and I couldn't just e-mail them, the one photo picked didn't run Monday or today. Ugh. At least the Sharks have home ice next round after Edmonton upset top-seeded Detroit. Not that I have any time to watch any of these games.
And the better news is that I'm not reacting to these things so emotionally as I used to. So I guess pot was very much so behind the mood swing thing. And two more bits of good news, although Prof. Rogers hasn't finished grading last week's JOUR142 quiz, he mentioned that I might have had a perfect score, w00t! Of course, before I could do a geeky happy dance,
Tom immediately said, "NERD!" and all I could say is, "Yeah, I am."
And the other bit of good news is that I think I have my picture story idea. I know I already have
the Sacramento trip to fall back on, but Erika has a good friend on the Cindy Chavez campaign, and so I asked if I could shadow him to take some pictures. He said he could do me one better and have me shadow Cindy herself! I've signed an NDA, and they own the rights to the photos (so I need their permission before turning anything in), but that would be so totally cool! I won't have time to stop into the campaign office again until Thursday, so we'll see what happens.
