This is very weird. In fact 2 things are weird.

1st weird thing
I am sitting in Kenya, having had a SHIT day as far as computers and internet connections are concerned, which wouldn't be too bad usually because usually people don't come all the way to a rural Kenyan hospital with the sole object of using the internet. But instead of learning 10,000 things on the wards and seeing 9,000 procedures and doing 2,000 of them myself, and instead of planning a safari, I am wrapped up in applying for a job.

That's right. My first job. Like my first colouring book. The application process to determine the next 2 years of my life is via an online system, with which these Kenyan machines are struggling hard. It can just about get to the pages where I fill in my personal statement and personal details, which I've kinda done after much agonising. But it fails to get to the page where I actually choose which jobs I want more than others. Being a wannabe NHS-scutmonkey I have a selection.

So my AMAZING friend Emily is now armed with my pin number and password and is putting my job preferences in order. We have to choose 40 jobs from a selection of 250 and put them in order of preference. I have not been able to load the page where this is done ALL DAY LONG.

So Emily's on msn and we're discussing what jobs she can put forward for me like we discuss...cakes. On msn! Proxy job selections!

WEEEEird.

2nd weird thing
Will give this the full description it warrants later

EDIT: I must clarify that Emily is in LONDON doing this for me (in KENYA) on my behalf - which fact is primarily what makes up the weirdness.

kenya, final year
