However, once Alex entered the room his earlier uneasiness redoubled.

Matt paused to turn on the lamp near the door before going to his desk and placing his briefcase on it. Then he leaned against the desk, eyeing the clone possessively again.

That's...it? Dude, your definition of soon had better be fast. It's killing me, here.

The desire, Alex spiraling, and the tender kisses were all wonderful.

Lol, sorry. When I realized the 2 scenes I had left for the chapter didn't fit onto one LJ post, I figured I might as well post the first one once I was done editing it. Any update is better than none, right? :P

The next scene is already written; I just have to edit it. So that *shouldn't* take that long...

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it though, even if you're frustrated lol. XD

This is wonderful!! Alex's confusion...anxiety...is so well written that you can feel it, you can taste it.

I can't wait to read more.

Thank you! I'm glad I was able to convey his distress well. (Plus it was fun to write.) :-) Glad you liked it, and more very soon I promise!

Riveting! Thanks for the lovely scene and delicate play of emotions. I read this series last night and have been hooked since. Thanks for the update!

> Alex could sympathize with
Did you mean "empathize"?

Oh yes, thank you! I meant to correct that and forgot. Fixed now.

Wow, just read it last night? That must've been a long night. XD

You're welcome. Glad you've enjoyed the story so far, and thanks for commenting. =)

And I am so sorry, you all might hate me when you get to the end of this,

Well... I'm not hating you so far :-))

This was nice, and you describe Alex's feelings about it all so well!

Lol, some other people aren't so happy with me, but what can I do? (Besides smile wickedly? >:D )

Thanks, glad you liked it. I'll admit, I really had fun writing Alex in a panic. =)

What? All foreplay, and that's it?
You, Missy, are a tease. :P

It got me thinking, though. So far Min's Andorian style submission was always either in terms of 'I can't do anything about it' or 'I have no control at all', or at least pretending so hard it was that way that he convinced even himself.
But now, if Alex finds he likes submitting in bed, it will be submission from a place of strength, and he will not be able to pass over all final responsibility to his partner/master.
I find D/s dynamics endlessly fascinating, and Alex/Min's current situation really highlights this crucial difference, I think.

LOL. Yep, the first 3 words of the next part are: "The next morning..." No no, just kidding!! I am evil, but not THAT evil. ;-) I won't skip from the foreplay to the morning after.

Hmm, I like that - "submission from a place of strength." In a way I see him as having done that already (although not as fully as he could), since he was choosing to be in that position and holding back information. There was that measure of control he held onto secretly, even as he was going along for the ride of serving whoever had bought him. He couldn't blame everything on whoever owned him, because who was ultimately responsible for why he was there in the first place? But I do see your point in that it would be easy to use the master as the scapegoat for whatever he didn't like about it - and further dissociate himself from responsibility ( ... )

he has trouble seeing that submission in bed doesn't necessarily mean surrendering control over everything in your life.
Oh, I missed that aspect of it. You're right, he never made the distinction between sex and 'the rest of my life'. And living in a society that equates giving up control with weakness doesn't exactly help. (I guess in that respect your world isn't too different from our own.) It'll be interesting to watch the two of them sort it out between them, I'm sure.
