Numerology

So, my family likes to read the Uncle John's Bathroom Reader series. Go ahead and laugh at the ridiculous name now =P

Anyway, they have this little snippet about numerology - the study of the mystical powers of numbers. Here is what the book said:

Playing with numerology is kind of like reading your horoscope: even if you don't believe in it, it's fun to see what it says. So here's a way to have fun with your street address...start by taking a number that's associated with you - your street address, for example - and add the digits together. Then repeat the process until you end up with a single digit.

When you add up MY street numbers, you get the number 13. So then you add 1 + 3 AGAIN to get a single-digit number, which is 4. Here's what they say about Number 4 street addresses:

Because 4 is the first number that can be created by multiplying numbers other than 1 and itself, it is a very special number. It's very solid because the simplest three-dimensional object, a tetrahedron, has four sides. (Picture a pyramid with three sides plus a fourth side serving as the base.) A 4 address is very well grounded, which makes it a good place for young families, career-oriented people, and people who place great importance on budgeting and spending money wisely. Artists, writers, and other creative people may find this house too rigid and confining.

Now, that sounds like ME in this house. Don't get me wrong; I love my home, but it is...very...grounded. I suck at managing money, and it REALLY REALLY annoys me when people are very rigid and organized - like my parents. I prefer insanity in MY schedule. Don't get me wrong, I love them too, but we're VERY different ;)

Do I believe numerology? I believe that you can MAKE it true, but you have to decide for yourself. Which means...no I don't believe in it. It is really fascinating, though.
