I have a headache and I don't know why. And every hour or so I get the unmistakable urge to vom everywhere. I am not sick, I do not feel particularly sick like I usually do. Just random bursts of OMGPUKENOW. And the grinding headache that won't go away.
All of these things are leading up to me wanting to rant so. Here.
Begin rant.
-Why can I never properly file my taxes? I follow instructions(I say faulty instructions!) and print things out and fill things in and sign my name and put a stamp on the envelope and I never get it right! /o\ I just want my money back, please, I would like to go on a proper vacation this year, kthnx gov't. I am not trying to scam you, I swear. I wouldn't know how even if I tried.
-I house-sit a lot now, so I feel like I'm never home. Which I don't really mind, as long as everything goes smoothly. I arrive when I'm supposed to, do what I'm supposed to do, keep everything neat, and leave when I'm supposed to. So far, everything has been awesome.
Until somebody set an alarm to the house I'm watering plants at and didn't tell me the code to turn it off. *facepalm* The alarm was going off for over an hour as I'm trying to reach this lady where she is at in the mountains of Vermont(why would you want to vacation there? It is cold.) and she's not answering.
I don't have the number of anyone else that would know the code, the security system keeps calling me trying to verify my identity, and the neighbors are telling me that if I can't get it shut off the cops are gonna show up. ALL I WANT TO DO IS WATER THE DAMM PLANTS.
The cops never did turn up(thank god), I finally got the alarm turned off, and apparently left increasingly hysterical(both in the distraught and hilarious definitions of that word) voicemail messages on my mom's phone when I was trying to reach her and figure out what to do. So I suppose now it's just a funny story. A slightly traumatizing funny story, but still.
-Is it just me, but when you throw a birthday party isn't it implied that you basically supply most of the refreshments/food? I mean, yeah, you can tell people if they /want/ to bring food items they totally can, but its not a necessity right? Is this now a rule of thumb I was not made aware of? Because it really ticks me off to no end when somebody says; Hey- its my birthday party and so bring me presents and stuff, oh and I'm making s'mores so I have that stuff, but if you want food/drink, bring your own. Just thinking about it makes me mad. That's what I really wanted to rant about, but I didn't want this whole entry to be one long tirade.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind bringing snacks/foodstuffs/drinks to a party. Its the way it was worded, like it was a mandatory requirement to bring food and/or drinks or else a)you could not come in or b)there would be nothing to eat and drink at this party.
"Bring food/drinks."
Yeah, no. I hate the entitlement that is just lying in those three words. I /was/ going to bring some awesome cookies because I am nice even though my birthday present to this person was totally awesome(concert tickets anyone?) and pretty expensive. But now? I'm not. Not even a card, because I'm petty and spiteful and xP.
/rant.
why are you such a bitch?
