Yes, I'm still doing these

Yet more thoughts on MGS1! I've actually got a pretty big backlog by now. Posting is just such an arduous task, I haven't had the energy for it! This time, we finally meet Armstech president Baker!

• So everyone who has "top secret codes" is given surgical implants that block mind-reading, but they aren't taught how to resist torture? Ah, bureaucracy.
• Whoa, Baker's a feisty one! Using his cane to attack Snake, even though he's got a broken arm and can barely stand…I bet he put up a good fight against Ocelot too. Unfortunately he's just plain out of his league. Poor Baker.
• How did Meryl steal a CODEC from the guard? You can't just beat someone up and steal their nanomachines.
• The infamous CD case! I actually think this is really neat, and I wish Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater had done something like this. I probably wouldn't have figured it out by myself (I didn't figure out the thing with the revive pill in Sorrow's river after all) but it still would have been really cool.
• "The Nuclear Age ended at the turn of the millennium." Because Big Boss stole all the nukes. XD And then I guess everyone built new ones, since Houseman then goes on to talk about the dangers of nuclear storage.
• Funny aneurysm moment: small countries building nuclear weapons programs? Hello, North Korea!
• "More than you can trust me." Quite an interesting choice of words there, Campbell.
