I literally just saw the CRAZIEST thing in my whole life.
It's 2.30 am, I'm on my way home on Gunston Rd. when I go past Gunston Manor and not 200 feet from me are huge, billowing, orange flames coming out of a van. But you could hardly tell it was a van because there was so much fire. "Holy SHIT" are the first things I say and then immediately dial 911 and have the call disconnect because of no reception. Luckily, 2 other guys had pulled over just before me and already told 911. Luckily also that the fire station is only a mile and a half away.
So while we're waiting I ask if anyone's inside and the guy says "I dunno, I couldn't see" so my instincts kick in and I start to bolt for the car when the army guy shouts "NO! Don't run towards the car, I don't think the gas has blown yet!" and then BOOM! Sparks and an even bigger ball of fire blow out the car on all sides.
I'm thinking, "If there's anyone in there, they're already fucked." We can hear footsteps in the woods by the car so we yell and ask if anyone's there but no one responds. Soon after the fire and rescue roll up and for almost an hour they hose down the van til just steam comes out. No one was inside.
After they pull the hose back at 3.30 I'm able to go home. The cop said it was probably a stolen car that someone decided to blow up. Nice. Either way it got my adrenaline pumping and I couldn't help but think what I would do if someone had been inside. Freak the fuck out I'm sure.
But yeah, now that I'm up for the night I thought I'd share, cause I sure as hell can't keep it to myself all night. Be safe.
