Tim FINALLY shipped off to Paris Island for boot camp today. I thought he was never gonna go. I guess thats what contracts are for, they make sure you do what you signed up for....
Yesterday was his 18th birthday. He got himself good and drunk the night before so he'd be ready to go. (I thought that sounded familiar and then he said it--its what Arlo Guthrie did before his draft inspection in the song "Allice's Restaurant." Way to take advice from Arlo Guthrie, Tim.)
So I'm anxious to see how he turns out.
If anyone wants to come visit JMU [me/Sarah/Alex/Kyle/Cheeks ;-)] I'd love the company!! Plus I miss all yous guys and I haven't seen you in forever!
OH!! Mom bout 2 tickets to the Eric Clapton concert in DC next month. I'm so excited! I haven't been to many shows in my short life and certainly none were as legendary as Eric Clapton. (Except for the free Hermits Hermits concert I went to when I was 8. I tot looooved Peter Noone.) Yay music!!
I think everyone should see Hedwig and the Angry Inch. I wrote my final English paper about indie films last year and it was one of my major references. The music/lyrics are great, the acting is superb and the costumes--oh the costumes!! Best trannie rock opera since Rocky Horror. Best rock opera in general, ever. Seriously, check it out.
My roommate and I need to have a little chat about her not locking the door. She did it a couple times earlier in the year and I asked to stop leaving it open, and when I got home from work today it was the third time since I asked her to starighten the fuck up. If my computer gets stolen I'm gonna beat her with the empty box. No joke. I wasn't too pressed about locking my door until when some assholes stole stuff from almost a third of the people in my dorm last spring. So yeah, I have a reason to be upset.
Yeup. Spain pics are on facebook, I've still got one more camera to develope.
Anyone going home for fall break? Does anyone even have a fall break?
