It's HOT (in case anyone hasn't noticed)

Today, I took a thermometer with me to work. I don't have a job which requires any physical activity except for typing, writing and thinking. But thinking becomes increasingly hard, as does typing, when your arms stick to your desk.

This afternoon, after the sun had moved far enough for me to see anything on my screen, I thought that lifting the blinds would be a good idea. They don't block the heat anyway, so I thought that lifting them would at least allow some fresh air to enter our office.

The thermometer didn't notice the difference. Instead, my telephone became almost too hot to handle. It's dark and stands right next to the window ...

I fear there is no way we will get air condition this summer, because the plan is that we move to another building by the end of the year.

Today, we had a maximum temperatur of 34.5 C (about 94F) in our office. Tomorrow, the weather is supposed to get even warmer ...

*headdesk*
*head remains stuck on desk*

ARGHHH!

My only consolation is that we don't have many customers showing up. So it's ok to run around the office on bare feet (though there is that one colleague who thought it a good idea to run around bare-chested ... yuk!)
