and the days, they just keep slipping by...

Well, I'll be 17 in exactly 2 weeks. Crazy business. I'm kind of depressed that I won't be home for it, but I'm looking forward to going to Maryland. I think this is first birthday that I won't be home for, but I could be lying. I don't really remember.

Grandma asked me what I wanted for my birthday, and I told her the same thing I've been telling her for the past 4 years, aka a trampoline. She shook her head and changed the subject. I'm guessing that means there will be no merrily jumping Mel's in the backyard anymore than there have been for the past 4 years. She suggested driving lessons. Driving lessons are totally not on the same level of awesomeness as a trampoline.

Jamey said that Eileen is planning to have the baby on the day after my birthday. I said that she should keep up with the tradition and have it on the 11th, cus the pattern ( Chuckie's on the 3rd, Jen's on the 5th, mine on the 7th, and Vincent's on the 9th) would keep going and because it would suck if Sprout's birthday was the day after mine, considering Vincent's is already two days after mine, and that leaves a lot of room for potential birthday bashes, and I don't mean the partying kind. Then again, for all we know, she could go into labor next Monday. I hope Sprout waits until I get back from Maryland.

School hasn't even started yet, and Dad is already turning into Homework Nazi Hitler. If this is a preview into what's going to happen during my senior year, I think I'll up and move to Grandma's 24/7. There's so much talk going on about college, that I sort of keep forgetting that I still have one year left of high school to go.It's like I expect to just skim over senior year and jump straight into college.

I seriously hope that burning smell isn't my laptop. Or my house...

You know those phrases that are fun to say and just roll off your tongue? I've been randomly blurting 'the Wreck of the Hesperus' for the past two/three days out of the sheer enjoyment of saying it. No need to tell me, I know I'm an idiot. Thank God Gi's back from California. I think I'm going stir crazy.
