Another Book Bites the Dust
Book 7 of 2014:
Artful, by Peter David -- Part of Kindle First for June, I got to read this before it was officially published. (On the Kindle, anyway.) This is a sequel, of sorts, to the Dickens classic Oliver Twist. While the Dickensian style of writing made it very difficult to get into, David lapsed enough into more modern speech that I didn't have to put it away, as I first feared. Oh, and there are vampyres... so you have your Pride and Prejudice and Zombies element, too. Overall I enjoyed it, but I would much prefer his time-paradox Star Trek novels.
